BYU students win it all at Mountain District Student Traffic Bowl

Students will move forward to the Grand Championship Traffic Bowl in New Orleans

Congratulations to BYU Team Navy for their 1st place finish at the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Mountain District Student Traffic Bowl. Team members Cory Ward, Matthew Davis, and Sam Runyan were successful in edging out Montana State University in the final round held in Boise, Idaho on June 9, 2022, as part of the Mountain District meeting. Also participating in the event was BYU Team White. Team members included Adam Hill, Antonio Ruiz, and Andrew Rodriguez. The other schools in the competition included Montana State University, University of Nevada Reno, University of Idaho, and Northern Arizona University. Cory, Matthew, and Sam will now represent BYU and the Mountain District at the Grand Championship Traffic Bowl to be held at the ITE International Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA in August.

In addition to a first-place finish in the Traffic Bowl, BYU students Cory Ward and Bruce Wang were presented with outstanding student awards at the conference. Cory Ward received the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award and Bruce Wang received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Congratulations to Cory and Bruce for their hard work and dedication to the BYU ITE Student Chapter.
