Emily Platt is our new academic advisor! She has four kids: three boys and one girl. Her husband is a professor and teaches math courses at both UVU and BYU. She will finish her Master’s in Math Education this December from Utah Valley University. Her hobbies include pickleball, softball, biking, attending the theater, and playing games with her family.

Freshmen and new transfer students should meet with Emily Platt, department Academic Advisor, prior to registering for their first semester. The advisor can assist in course selection and timing, as well as general scheduling guidance.

Students returning to the university after an extended break, such as a mission, should see the department academic advisor within the first two weeks of returning. This will ensure that the student does not overlook any changes to the program that may have occurred during their absence.

Advisement meetings are available by zoom, phone, or in person, by scheduling a date/time using the calendar below.
