Academic Advisement

Emily Platt

November 01, 2022 03:48 PM
Emily Platt is our CCE academic advisor! She has four kids: three boys and one girl. Her husband is a professor and teaches math courses at both UVU and BYU. She has a Master's degree from Utah Valley University in Math Education. Her hobbies include pickleball, softball, biking, attending the theater, and playing games with her family.

Freshmen, new transfer students, and returning missionaries are encouraged to meet with Emily prior to registering for their first semester. She can assist in course selection and timing, as well as general scheduling guidance. For returned missionaries, Emily can ensure that the student does not overlook any changes to the program that may have occurred during their absence.

You can book an appointment to meet with her below. In addition, you can email her through your BYU email in accordance with BYU's new email policy. Advisement meetings are available by zoom, phone, or in person, and by scheduling a date/time using the calendar below. Make an Appointment
