Biography
Clifton Farnsworth graduated from Brigham Young University with BS (1999) and MS (2000) degrees, and a PhD (2008) from the University of Utah, all in Civil Engineering. He worked for the Utah Department of Transportation as a geotechnical/construction engineer from 1999 - 2008, performing research on innovative geotechnical construction practices on the I-15 reconstruction through the Salt Lake Valley, and as a geotechnical field engineer on the Provo Canyon widening project. His first academic appointment was in the Civil Engineering program at The University of Texas at Tyler from 2008-2011. He has been a part of the construction faculty at Brigham Young University from 2011 through the present, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Civil and Construction Engineering Department.
