Biography

Jeremy Farner has been involved in architecture and construction his entire life. When asked as a 6-year-old child what he wanted to do when he grew up, his response was always to be “a wall builder”. Jeremy worked his way through high school and college in various residential construction capacities. His love for construction led him to start thinking about being the one designing the structures he loved to build. Jeremy was a member of the first graduating BS class in Design Engineering Technology (DET) found within the Engineering Technology department at WSU. Upon graduation, Jeremy went to work for the state’s largest custom production home builder, Ivory Homes, as a drafter and eventual Architectural Design Specialist customizing homes for clients. He was recruited away to a competing home builder Destination Homes as their Design Manager. He owns and operates his own custom home design/build firm JH Designs and Consulting Services LLC. and has consulted many companies. He continued his love for learning and graduated from Purdue University with an MS in Construction Management where he found his research interest in green building and sustainable design.
Jeremy is a true family man with 7 kids and 2 grandkids and counting, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and being active. His family likes to camp where there is wildlife, good hiking, and fishing to enjoy.
